Walk to Help Fight Hunger

The Evansville Area CROP Hunger Walk invites people of all ages and faiths to join in providing resources to fight hunger around the world and around the corner. Funds raised through the CROP Walk help people in more than 80 countries through self-help development, disaster response, and refugee services.

In 2007, $ 4,099.00 was raised by the Evansville Area CROP Hunger Walk with approximately 173 walkers coming from 15 groups. A Church World Service grant equivalent to 25% of the funds raised by the CROP Walk was shared by the Tri-State Food Bank and the Food Pantry of the Evansville Area Council of Churches.

CROP Walk November 3, 2007 10:00 AM

The 2007 Evansville Area CROP Hunger Walk will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2007, beginning at 10:00 AM at the Tri-State Food Bank, 801 E. Michigan Street.

This year's CROP Walk will encompass a 3.3-mile walk through Evansville, and will pass three food pantries in the Evansville Food Pantry Consortium, as well as other agencies in the area that address hunger and poverty in Evansville.
